  • What type of gutters should I choose?

    Here at Promax, we install K-style gutters which are available in 5 and 6 inches, also known as 5K and 6K, respectively. K-style gutters are most common and are your original design. If you are looking for something different, consider half-round, curverd or box bottom designs.

  • Are seamless gutters worth it?

    Seamless gutters indicate what they sound like- gutters without any seams. This design provides a pleasant curb appeal to your home- a modern look per say. With seamless gutters, you dont have to worry about sections sagging as you do with gutters with seams, which also means you won't have to worry about leaks. Sound convincing enough?

  • How often should I clean my gutters?

    There is no "one size fits all" answer. The frequency of cleaning your gutters will come down to this main factor: location of your home. Is your home surrounded by trees? How does the weather behave in your area? If your home has trees towering over it and thunderstorms are frequent- you can expect to clean your gutters a lot more frequently than someone who answered "no" to those two questions. Some great indicators if you have to clean you gutters are:

    • branches and leaves on your roof/ sticking out your gutter system
    • downspout not flowing water well during rainfall
    • no gutter cleaning for a few seasons

  • How long does installation take?

    Depending on the size of your home and roof design, time will vary. A small box shaped home of 1000sq feet can be done within several hours with a team of two, meanwhile a contemporary styled home with many unique shapes and angles of 3000sq feet will take several days to complete- with a team of two.

  • Can I install them myself?

    There are ins-and-outs to be known in order to have a successful gutter install. Putting up the gutter isn't the hard part. A gutter can be installed on a home yet have issue with flowing water out, therefore having knowledge of proper gutter install is required.
